  • Ramona J. Smith is an international award-winning public speaker who holds the prestigious title of the 2018 World Champion of Public Speaking. She is a powerhouse, a gracious woman beyond measure one who courageously surpassed over 30,000 people to receive such an illustrious honor. Her ubiquitous stage presence and poised intellectual delivery of various topics has made Ramona one of the most sought-after public speakers in the world.

  • Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, audiences admire her unrivaled ability to captivate and connect with individuals from across the globe of all races and ethnicities. She has given keynote addresses in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Brazil and India. Ramona has a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing from the famed Baldwin Wallace University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is currently pursuing an Executive MBA from Prairie View A&M University in Houston, Texas.

  • Ramona spends a great deal of her time traveling the world delivering encouraging messages of hope, triumph, perseverance, leadership and love. She has been featured on Forbes.com, Business Insider, INC.com, and a number of other creditable news outlets.  When she is not touring the world, you can find Ramona speaking on a smaller stage inspiring students in the classroom to go after their goals. In addition to being an educator, author and poet; her greatest joy is being mother to her son.

Afternoon Keynote - "Let's talk, let's listen"

  • Mr C Y Leung graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic and Bristol Polytechnic UK. He has been awarded Honorary Doctorate degrees by four universities in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Shandong.

  • Since the late 1970s, Mr Leung had participated in the land and housing reforms in China and helped prepare the first land sale in the Mainland after China's constitution was amended in 1988.

  • Between 1984 and 1997, Mr Leung held senior positions in the entire political transition to the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

  • Between 1997 and 2011, Mr Leung was a member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong and was the Convenor of the non-official members between 1999 and 2011.

  • In March, 2012, Mr Leung was elected the fourth-term Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. In March 2017, he was elected a Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.

  • In September 2017, Mr Leung founded the Belt and Road Hong Kong Centre and the Greater Bay Area Centre.  In 2018, he also founded the GX Foundation Company Limited.

Workshop 2 Speaker (English) - "Building Membership Resiliency"

  • Ada was born in Hong Kong and is a graduate in Business Administration from the United Kingdom, and has been a qualified Chartered Secretary and a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators since 1990. 

  • Prior to starting her own corporate services company, Andante Management Limited, in 2012, Ada was the Director for Strategic Projects of a renowned global company formation specialist for almost 19 years.  Having commenced her career in the United Kingdom in 1985 with a prominent retailing company and public listed auctioneer, Ada went on to gain working experience in Australia for a year.  In 1993, she returned to Hong Kong to work for a leading company formation specialist, where she stayed until 2012.  Ada was also involved in various community service including serving as Chairman and Director for The Hong Kong Ballet Group.  Ada has been serving as the Advisor to the Dance and Arts section for the Arts Development Council since 2007.

  • Member of Rotary Club of Wanchai since 1996.  Ada served as District Governor of D3450 in 2009-2010, International Assembly Training Leader 2017 & 2018, Governor-Elect Training Seminar and Governor-Nominee Training Seminar Trainer at various Zone Institute, Rotary Public Image Coordinator for Zone 10B, Assistant Rotary Coordinator for Zone 10B, WASH in Schools Challenge Target Working Group Member, Permanent Fund Committee Member (Taiwan, Macau and Hong Kong), Rotary Public Image Resource Group member, RI President’s Representative, and Moderator and Panelist at RI Conventions and Zone Institutes.  Ada has been a faculty trainer of the Rotary Leadership Institute since 2005.  At the District level, Ada is currently the Council on Legislation Representative, International Service Project Chair and Global Grant Subcommittee Chair.  She has previous served as District Public Image Chair, District Membership Chair, Deputy District Rotary Foundation Committee Chair, District Polio Plus Committee Chair, National Immunization Day (NID) Chair and Vocational Services Chair.

  • Ada is a Major Donor, Charter Member of the Paul Harris Society in D3450, and a member of the Rotary Foundation Bequest Society.

  • Ada is a recipient of the Rotary International Service Above Self Award, Regional Service Award for a Polio-Free World and Presidential Citation.  She was also honored by D3450 as Rotarian of the Year in 2006 and President of the Year in 2000.

Workshop 4 Speaker (English) - "Art of communication in extreme situation"

  • Jason Yip is the Chief Executive Officer at MWYO, an independent "think & do" tank on youth policy in Hong Kong.

  • Before returning to HK, he was the Regional Head of Unit at the government affairs & donor relations division of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), covering the Greater China, Malaysia and Singapore. During his development in the organization, Jason worked in the headquarters in Geneva to develop dialogue and mobilize resources with the member states to the Geneva Convention. In addition, he also stationed in Palestine, Afghanistan and Myanmar under the capacity of the ICRC Delegate. He was responsible for developing and implementing ICRC’s humanitarian initiatives in the battlefield. He had also experience in emergence relief, e.g. Sichuan’s earthquake in 2008 and migrant crisis in Andaman Sea in 2015. Jason has extensive experience in security analysis and building dialogues with non-state military groups.

  • Jason earned his master’s degree in International Relations from Waseda University in Japan and BBA from the University of Hong Kong. He was also selected as an AsiaGlobal Fellow by the AsiaGlobal Institute. He started his career as an analyst in Goldman Sachs. Jason is a sport lover with a strong passion for trekking and playing volleyball. Born and raised in Hong Kong, he speaks French, Japanese, English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

  • In 2018, Jason was awarded a Medal of Honour by the HKSAR Government and was selected as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons by JCI HK. He was also a speaker at the TEDxPetalingStreet in Kuala Lumpur
